Hive Instinct

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 August 2026

This page explains how Hive Instinct collects and uses personal data through our website (contact form and newsletter sign-up) and describes your rights under UK/EU data protection law (including the General Data Protection Regulation, "GDPR"). It does not cover how we handle data for existing clients under a signed agreement — that is addressed separately in the relevant contract, NDA, or Terms of Business you have with us.

1. Who we are

Hive Instinct ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for the personal data described on this page. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at info@hiveinstinct.com.

2. What we collect, and why

Contact form ("Send & book your call")

When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, company name (if provided), the services you're interested in, and any message you write. We use this to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare a proposal or schedule a call. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, and/or taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract with you.

Newsletter sign-up (website pop-up)

If you tick the box and submit your email address through our newsletter pop-up, we collect your email address and store a record of your consent — the exact wording you agreed to, the date and time, and the IP address the request came from — so we can demonstrate that consent was validly given if ever asked to. We use this to send you offers, discounts, and newsletter content by email. The legal basis for this processing is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (see Section 6).

3. How long we keep your data

4. Who we share your data with

We use third-party service providers to run our systems, who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements:

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Some of these providers may process data on servers located outside the UK/EEA; where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent adequacy mechanism.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Our newsletter pop-up uses your browser's local storage (not a tracking cookie) to remember whether you've already subscribed or dismissed it, so we don't show it again unnecessarily. This is stored only in your browser and is not used to track you across other websites.

6. Your rights

Under UK/EU data protection law, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@hiveinstinct.com. We'll respond within one month.

7. How to complain

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, we'd appreciate the chance to put it right first — contact us at the email above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority:

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure storage of sensitive records.

9. Children

Our website and services are directed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
